Our client, an international AmLaw 50 law firm headquartered in New York, seeks a Senior Associate or Counsel with deep Real Estate finance experience to lead complex lender-side transactions in a hybrid New York role.

The candidate will manage transactions end-to-end, draft and negotiate loan documents, and provide strategic financing guidance while interfacing with clients and opposing counsel in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• J.D. from a top-tier law school with excellent academic record.
• Active New York Bar admission in good standing.
• 7+ years of substantive real estate transactional experience.
• Significant experience with real estate financing transactions, including lender representation.
• Strong loan document drafting, negotiation and execution.
• Experience conducting and reviewing title and survey diligence.

Responsibilities

Our client, a prominent internationalAmLaw 50 law firm, is seeking an experienced Senior Associate or Counsel to join its Real Estate practice in New York. This role is well suited for a seasoned real estate attorney with deep experience in real estate finance, particularly on the lender-side, who can independently manage complex transactions from initial structuring through closing. The position offers significant responsibility, direct client interaction, and the opportunity to work on sophisticated, high‑value real estate financings within a collaborative and dynamic environment.

Candidate Profile

• JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record
• Active Bar Admission in New York in good standing
• 7+ years of substantive real estate transactional experience

• Significant experience with real estate financing transactions, including lender representation
• Strong background in loan document drafting, negotiation, and execution
• Experience conducting and reviewing title and survey diligence
• Proven ability to independently manage transactions from structuring through closing
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills and sound commercial judgment

• Competitive Salary: Expected minimum annual salary for this position is $420,000, as determined by experience and market factors
