Job summary

Confidential Recruiting Partners is seeking a Staff Accountant to support financial reporting, job costing, account reconciliations, and month-end close activities for a real estate, construction, or project-based accounting environment. This onsite role emphasizes accuracy and adherence to GAAP.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s in Accounting, 2+ years of accounting experience, strong Excel skills, and the ability to collaborate with auditors and internal teams to ensure timely,

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
• Advanced Excel skills for complex data analysis and reporting.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in real estate or project-based environments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Experience with job costing and project-based accounting.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Track and analyze project costs, budgets, and variances.
• Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting activities.
• Support continuous improvement of accounting processes and controls.
• Maintain confidentiality and accuracy in all financial records and reporting.
• Prepare and post journal entries and maintain general ledger accuracy.
• Collaborate with internal departments and external auditors as needed.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and accurate financial reporting.
• Generate financial reports and provide analysis to support business decisions.
• Maintain and monitor work-in-progress (WIP) schedules and job costing data.
