Orion Placement in Philadelphia or Washington, DC is seeking an attorney with 2+ years of real estate finance transactional experience to represent lenders, capital providers, and borrowers. The role includes drafting loan documents for construction and structured financings, and advising on distressed matters.

Hybrid schedule with three days in the office, significant client exposure from day one, and a clear path for growth within a nationally respected practice.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of real estate finance transactional experience.
• Experience with construction financing and complex capital structures.
• Strong drafting, analytical, and negotiation skills.
• Active bar license in the state of the office location.
• Experience on lender-side, borrower-side, or a blend of both.

Responsibilities

• Represent lenders, capital providers, and borrowers in complex real estate finance transactions
• Draft and negotiate loan documents for construction, mezzanine, preferred equity, and structured financings
• Work on multi-tiered capital transactions and debt-like and equity investments
• Advise on distressed commercial real estate matters from a transactional perspective
• Collaborate closely with partners and clients throughout the full transaction lifecycle
