Omaha, Nebraska | 1+ Years’ Experience | Hybrid
A well-established real estate and finance practice is seeking a Real Estate & Finance Associate Attorney to join its Omaha team. This opportunity is particularly attractive for an attorney who wants to develop substantive experience across sophisticated business, real estate, and financing transactions while working closely with experienced partners and clients.
The role offers exposure to both taxable and tax-exempt financings, including transactions utilizing Low-Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC), providing an excellent platform for an associate looking to build specialized finance expertise alongside a broader transactional real estate practice.
The breadth of the practice provides associates with the opportunity to understand transactions from multiple perspectives rather than focusing exclusively on one component of a deal.
This position offers significant scope for professional development. The associate will work closely with experienced attorneys while progressively developing the confidence and technical skills required to manage matters more independently.
The environment is collaborative and team-oriented, with opportunities for training, career development, and longer-term progression toward partnership.
Following an initial in-office period, a hybrid working arrangement may be available with appropriate approval.
Candidates should have at least one year of transactional experience, with exposure to real estate, finance, or related corporate transactions particularly relevant.
Candidates must have a JD and previous experience working in a law firm. Applicants should also be admitted to practice in Nebraska in good standing or be capable of obtaining Nebraska admission within one year.
Excellent drafting and communication skills, strong academic performance, analytical ability, attention to detail, and sound judgment are important. Candidates should be capable of working independently when appropriate while contributing effectively within collaborative transaction teams.
Prior experience with taxable or tax-exempt finance, affordable housing, or LIHTC transactions would be valuable, although attorneys with strong transferable real estate or finance experience are also encouraged to apply.
