Job summary

HIA Legal in Philadelphia seeks a mid-to-senior Real Estate Associate to join a highly regarded international firm. You will handle sophisticated transactional real estate matters for a broad client base, including acquisitions, dispositions, development, financing and leasing.

The role includes drafting and negotiating leases and related documents, exposure to land use and zoning, and taking ownership of workstreams while collaborating with colleagues across corporate, finance and real estate

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in transactional real estate.
• Strong drafting, research and communication skills.
• Experience at a leading law firm preferred, but strong boutique/mid-sized candidates will be considered.

The team handles sophisticated transactional real estate matters for a broad client base, with exposure to acquisitions, dispositions, development, financing and leasing.

The Role

• Advising on complex commercial real estate acquisitions and dispositions
• Representing developers, investors, lenders and other stakeholders on real estate development projects
• Advising on real estate financing and related transactional matters
• Drafting and negotiating commercial leases and associated documentation
• Exposure to land use and zoning matters
• Managing discrete matters and taking ownership of workstreams on larger transactions
• Working directly with clients, opposing counsel and other transaction stakeholders
• Collaborating with colleagues across the firm's broader corporate, finance and real estate practices

Candidate Profile

• 2+ years' experience in transactional real estate
• Strong experience in one or more of acquisitions/dispositions, development, financing or commercial leasing
• Experience at a leading law firm preferred, although strong candidates from boutique or mid-sized real estate practices will also be considered
• Strong drafting, research and communication skills
• Comfortable managing matters independently and taking ownership of transaction workstreams
• Commercially minded, organised and able to work effectively as part of a team
• Strong academic and professional credentials
