Job summary

MSA Professional Services, Inc. seeks an experienced Real Estate Appraiser II to support real estate acquisitions for local public projects, primarily transportation-related.

The role focuses on eminent domain valuations and right-of-way assignments, with opportunity to work with a multi-disciplinary team and contribute to WisDOT initiatives. The ideal candidate has 4+ years of appraisal experience, holds a Wisconsin Certified Residential or Certified General license, and is eligible for WisDOT

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of professional appraisal and right of way acquisition experience.
  • Active Wisconsin Certified Residential or Certified General Appraisal license required.
  • Experience completing eminent domain-related appraisal assignments.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare real estate appraisals and valuation reports supporting acquisitions for local public agency and WisDOT improvement projects.
  • Complete sales studies, property inspections, and acquisition-area evaluations to determine property values and project impacts.
  • Complete appraisal reports ranging from Short Format and Standard Abbreviated to Before and After reports based on acquisition complexity.
  • Perform appraisal reviews in accordance with WisDOT and FHWA standards.
