Berkadia is seeking a Real Estate Analyst for Hotels & Hospitality to support the Investments Sales team with financial analysis and market data used in client-facing documents and presentations.

You will help prepare investment memorandums, analyze market rates, and build cash flow models while collaborating with senior executives to assess feasibility of opportunities.

• Support senior hospitality executives in financial analysis and projections for acquisitions/dispositions.
• Maintain and analyze P&L statements, STR data, and industry benchmarks.

The Real Estate Analyst, Hotels & Hospitality will assist an Investments Sales team with financial analysis and preparing market data to be utilized in various client-facing documents and presentations. The Real Estate Analyst, Hotels & Hospitality is instrumental in providing excellent support for our Investment Sales Advisors as they conduct their daily business activities.

Responsibilities

• Assist Investment Sales Advisors in preparation of investment memorandums and valuations for review by senior executives.
• Assist market research function in procuring and analyzing market rates and expenses, comparable sales, market trends, etc.
• Prepare financial modeling inclusive of alternative methods of valuation including DCF, Direct Cap, Comp Sale, and IRR among others.
• Develop cash flow waterfalls, note sale valuation models, and debt sizing analyses.
• Assist in financial analysis and projections for acquisition and disposition opportunities so that senior executives can evaluate the financial feasibility and viability of each project.
• Breakdown and analyze P&L statements and competitive market STR Reports.
• Utilize and maintain databases which track investment sales activity, debt capital markets data points, construction pipeline, and other relevant real estate metrics.
• Prepare and actively participate in presentations for internal and external clients.
• Review industry surveys and benchmarks, economic and demographic trends.
• Establish strong working relationships with the team to understand and identify their needs for market intelligence.
• Assist in managing third-party reports to complete all underwriting/due diligence related acquisitions and disposition activities.
• Database maintenance including management of a cloud-based CRM.
• Support senior hospitality executives.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• One to three years prior experience in a similar position
• Outstanding attention to detail and exceptional work ethic
• Ability to work in office with adherence to weekly office schedule and travel (air) occasionally on short notice
• General understanding of the principles of real estate capital markets, and the intuitional investment sale process
• Basic understanding of real estate cash flow modeling
• Experience with data analytics such as demographics, competitors, industry and real estate trends, etc. preferred.
• Knowledge of real estate value drivers, including capital markets, real estate submarket dynamics and specific hospitality market considerations preferred.
• Ability to simplify and effectively communicate complex ideas in writing and through data visualization techniques to diverse audiences required.
• Must be proficient in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel).
• Working knowledge of at least one major AI model (ChatGPT, Claude, etc)
• Experience using Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, etc.) preferred.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, work on multiple assignments at one time and manage rapidly changing assignments in a team environment.

Compensation

The provided base salary information for this position is part of an overall national range. The actual salary within our range for this position will be determined by several factors, including but not limited to the scope, complexity and location of the role, the skills, education, training, credentials, and experience of the candidate. The total compensation package for this role may also include additional incentive opportunities.

Compensation $70,000-75,000 USD #LI-HG1 #LI-Onsite
