You will manage property-level ledgers, prepare monthly and quarterly statements, reconcile accounts, and assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

Collaboration with operations, asset management, and corporate teams is essential for timely GAAP-compliant reporting.

Qualifications

• Experience in real estate accounting and property-level financial reporting is required.
• Strong ability to manage general ledgers and ensure GAAP compliance.
• Proficient in budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis for a portfolio of properties.
• Advanced Excel skills and financial modeling capabilities.
• Experience with ERP/accounting software such as Yardi, MRI or JD Edwards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual property-level financial statements.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts for assigned properties.
• Ensure GAAP-compliant accounting for real estate transactions, revenue, and expenses.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for the property portfolio.
• Collaborate with operations and asset management to resolve accounting issues.
• Assist with internal and external audits, providing schedules and supporting documentation.
• Monitor and improve accounting processes and controls for scalability.
