Job summary

Adams Bros. Concrete Products Ltd. in North Olmsted, OH is seeking a Ready Mix Driver I to operate a concrete mixer and deliver to residential and commercial sites. You will perform pre/post shift inspections, coordinate with dispatch, and unload safely at each site.

Requirements include a Class B CDL (Class A preferred), strong organizational and communication skills, and 0–2 years of mixer truck experience. Travel to job sites is required as needed.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily pre-shift and post-shift vehicle inspection and report deficiencies.
• Report improper operation, faulty equipment and unusual conditions to Maintenance Manager.
• Operate concrete mixer to and from pre-designated work sites based on daily routing information.
• Maintain telephone or radio contact with dispatch for instructions and changes to location.
• Differentiate between mixes, grades, sizes and textures of materials.
• Perform air and slump evaluation of concrete and recommend modifications.
• Maintain awareness of surroundings to safely maneuver and unload materials.
• Control speed and direction of mixer during unloading via front and rear discharge.
• Follow hand signals and eye contact with co-workers when backing up and unloading.
• Ensure concrete mixer is cleaned after each delivery.
• Carry 50+ lbs.
• Light yard and shop maintenance as needed.
