Job summary

Heidelberg Materials is seeking a CDL driver to safely operate a ready-mix truck and deliver concrete products to customers in Texas. You will perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, ensure accurate delivery tickets, and maintain clear communication with dispatch.

You may assist with loading and unloading as needed, while complying with all safety protocols and company policies. A valid CDL is required, with FMCSA testing and pre-employment checks applicable.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • CDL-A or CDL-B license required.
  • Ability to operate heavy equipment and vehicles.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical capability for job demands.
  • Willingness to work in various weather conditions.
  • Pre-employment physical, drug/alcohol screen and background check.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Safely operate a ready-mix truck to deliver concrete products to customers.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
  • Ensure accurate delivery tickets and maintain communication with dispatch.
  • Assist with the loading and unloading of materials as needed.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
What Are We Looking For
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.

Conditions of Employment
  • Must hold current CDL-B or CDL-A.
  • Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check.
  • Some positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing.
Work Environment

Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level.
