Job summary

Delta Industries, Inc. is seeking a Ready Mix Concrete Delivery Professional to safely and efficiently deliver concrete to construction sites.

You will be the face of the company, ensuring customer satisfaction through timely and professional service on every job. This role requires a valid CDL, at least 1 year of truck driving experience (concrete delivery a plus), and strong time management with clear communication to dispatchers and customers.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate a ready-mix concrete truck to deliver concrete to construction sites.
• Inspect the truck before and after each run to ensure it is in optimal working condition.

• Plan delivery routes to ensure timely and efficient delivery.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer concerns and answering questions.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate a ready-mix concrete truck to deliver concrete to construction sites.
• Inspect the truck before and after each run to ensure it is in optimal working condition.
• Follow all safety procedures and traffic laws while driving.
• Manage the slump of the concrete and add water or other additives as needed, following customer specifications.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other team members.
• Complete delivery tickets and obtain customer signatures.
• Clean the truck after each delivery to prevent concrete buildup.
• Plan delivery routes to ensure timely and efficient delivery.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer concerns and answering questions.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
• Exercise independent judgment in resolving on-site delivery issues.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience

• Minimum of 1 year of truck driving experience with commercial vehicles.
• Experience in concrete delivery is a plus.

Knowledge and Skills

• Valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License), Class B or higher.
• Proficient in route planning and navigation.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
• Knowledge of safety procedures related to concrete delivery and truck operation.
• Ability to perform basic truck maintenance and inspections.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience operating a ready-mix concrete truck.
• Knowledge of concrete mixing and slump management.
• Proven track record of safe driving and excellent customer service.

Physical Requirements and Work Conditions

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to climb in and out of the truck multiple times per day.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions, including heat, cold, and rain.
• Must be able to sit for extended periods while driving.
• Requires frequent bending, stooping, and reaching.
