Job summary

Heidelberg Materials is seeking a ready-mix driver to deliver concrete to job sites across the region. You will operate a ready-mix truck, perform inspections, and communicate with dispatch and customers to meet delivery schedules.

This role emphasizes safety, accuracy in loading/unloading, and maintaining vehicle cleanliness. Union benefits, sign-on bonus, and standard company coverage accompany a full-time position.

What You'll Be Doing

• Safely operate a ready-mix truck to deliver concrete to job sites on schedule
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, plant personnel, and customers
• Manage the loading, transport, and unloading of concrete according to specifications
• Maintain a clean truck and complete required delivery documentation accurately

What Are We Looking For

• Valid CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) with safe driving capability
• Strong focus on safety, attention to detail, and situational awareness
• Ability to operate heavy equipment and adapt to changing job site conditions
• Effective communication skills and customer-focused mindset
• Dependability and ability to work independently or as part of a team

Conditions of Employment Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check Some positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing

Work Environment

Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level
