Job summary

Huntington Learning Center in West Des Moines, IA, is seeking tutors to teach Reading, Writing, English, Literature, and SAT/ACT prep. After paid training, you'll work one-on-one or with small groups of up to four students, using our proven curriculum and individualized programs. You'll monitor student understanding, provide encouragement, and help them build confidence and reach goals.

Hours are Monday-Thursday 2:00-8:00 p.m. and Saturday 8:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university (Required).
• Strong knowledge of Reading, Writing, English, and/or Literature.
• Teaching/tutoring experience, including SAT/ACT prep (Preferred but not required).

Responsibilities

• Teach Reading, Writing, English, Literature, and/or SAT/ACT preparation.
• Follow Huntington's proven curriculum and individualized student programs.
• Monitor student understanding and provide encouragement and feedback.
• Help students develop stronger academic skills, confidence, and motivation.
