Ampact is seeking a Reading Tutor to support students at local schools in Des Moines, Iowa. In this full-time role, you will assist students in improving their reading skills through personalized tutoring sessions while receiving coaching and training from our team.

The ideal candidate should be at least 18 years old, fluent in English, and possess a high school diploma or equivalent. This position offers meaningful service opportunities through AmeriCorps.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• Citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident of the United States.
• Able to successfully complete a background check.

Responsibilities

• Be a caring adult who's focused on helping students thrive.
• Lead tutoring sessions and follow a schedule to ensure students receive support.
• Track student progress and meet regularly with the school's onsite coach.
• Conduct skill assessments and enter student scores into data software.
• Commit to your own growth through coaching and training.
• Share your experience with the community.
