Job summary

Ampact is looking for a Reading Tutor for the 2026-27 school year in Shakopee, Minnesota. You will support students in reading, helping them improve their skills through daily tutoring sessions. This role focuses on mentoring and tracking progress while working closely with on-site coaches.

Applicants should be at least 18 years old, dependable, and fluent in English. The position offers full-time and part-time options, with flexible daytime hours Monday through Friday. Comprehensive training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Be dependable and have a history of good attendance.
• Able to follow instructions and make improvements based on feedback.
• Proficient in basic computer skills (like email and navigating online).
• Fluent in English for speaking, reading, and writing.
• 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• A citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident of the United States.
• Ability to successfully complete a background check.

Responsibilities

• Be a caring adult who's focused on helping children thrive.
• Lead tutoring sessions and follow a schedule to ensure students receive support.
• Track student progress and meet regularly with the school's on-site coach.
• Conduct skill assessments and enter student scores in data software.
• Commit to own growth through coaching and training.
