Ampact is looking for dedicated individuals to join Reading Corps as Reading Tutors in Winsted, Minnesota. You'll assist students in improving their reading skills through personalized tutoring sessions. This full-time role comes with the chance to make a real difference in students' lives.
Tutors work during school hours and receive compensation of $17.50 per hour. Benefits include free health insurance and education assistance up to $5,176.50 for tuition or loans.

Join Reading Corps as a Reading Tutor and you’ll spend your days at a local school helping students improve their skills. We’ll train you to deliver proven activities and coach you every step of the way!
Every school day you’ll see pairs of students for 20 minutes of reading practice. When your time together is up, you’ll help your students return to their classroom(s) and pick up your next pair for tutoring. You’ll repeat until all your students are served.
With the extra attention and support, incredible growth happens. As your students build their skills and confidence, you’ll be there to encourage, celebrate, and cheer them on!

We are currently hiring for the 2026-27 school year. Positions run August 2026–June 2027.
Part‑time positions are also available at 25 and 15 hours per week.
AmeriCorps positions include a total service‑hour commitment for the program year. Most hours are completed through regular site‑based service; members work with program staff to plan their schedule and may occasionally complete approved service or training outside of the school day as needed.
Full‑time AmeriCorps members receive a paycheck (stipend) every two weeks. Compensation: $17.50 per hour served and additional perks.
