Job summary

Catapult Learning, Inc. is seeking an Elementary Reading Tutor for a 12-week, part-time program in Detroit. You’ll advocate for students, mentor them, and deliver targeted reading instruction using our proven curriculum.

Responsibilities include differentiating instruction, engaging students, tracking progress, and maintaining accurate records. The role offers pay of $26-$28 per hour and benefits, with opportunities for professional development and credentialing support.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college.
  • Unwavering belief that all children can learn.
  • Ability to navigate online platforms for record keeping and communication.

Responsibilities

  • Differentiate Instruction: Customize and deliver lessons and use data to meet student needs.
  • Engage Students: Foster ownership, critical thinking, and clear routines.
  • Grow Professionally: Embrace training, coaching, and feedback.
  • Track Progress: Maintain accurate student and academic records.
  • Provide instructional services with the necessary educational expertise in reading, mathematics, and writing for K-8 students.
  • Ensures supervision of students at all times, including escorting students safely to and from Company classroom or to mobile/trailer classroom.
  • Attends and documents conferences/meetings/trainings with Company Supervisors, classroom teachers, principals, and parents as required by the Company, local, state, and/or federal agencies.
  • Maintains inventory of educational materials and supplies.
  • Other duties as assigned.
