Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Plan study programs meeting students' needs, interests, backgrounds, and abilities.
• Establish curriculum objectives and develop comprehensive plans for implementation and evaluation.
• Create a conducive classroom environment and communicate objectives clearly to students.
• Guide learning toward curriculum goals and set explicit objectives for lessons and projects.
• Employ appropriate instructional methods and materials to meet objectives.
• Assess student progress and provide required reports.
• Diagnose learning strengths/weaknesses and consult District specialists as needed.
• Counsel with colleagues, students, and parents regularly.
• Enforce classroom rules and maintain fair order in accordance with policies.
• Supervise support personnel and volunteers to assist in departments or grade levels.
• Use technology in teaching and learning processes.
• Maintain accurate records and comply with laws and regulations.
• Adhere to ethics and participate in school improvement initiatives.
• Recognize student distress or abuse and act according to protocol.
