Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above; valid SC teacher's certificate in Elementary Education and/or Secondary Education.
• Alternatives to the above qualifications may be considered as appropriate by the Board.
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Meets and instructs assigned classes in the locations and at times designated.
• Plans a program of study that meets individual needs, interests, and abilities of students and state standards.
• Establishes clear objectives for all classroom activities and communicates these objectives to students.
• Employs a variety of instructional techniques and media suitable for the location and student needs.
• Uses effective classroom management to create a conducive learning environment.
• Implements the District's philosophy of education and instructional goals.
• Takes necessary precautions to protect students, equipment, materials and facilities.
• Maintains accurate, complete records as required by law and policy.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education
