Job summary

Huntington Learning Center Ashburn seeks in-person, part-time tutors specializing in reading comprehension and writing, with SAT/ACT-level reading and grammar support. Candidates must be able to work in-person and have a 4-year degree.

We offer flexible, part-time hours (afternoon, evening, weekend, summer) in a 1-to-1 setting. There are no lesson plans to write or curriculum to develop; compensation is hourly and based on experience and availability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required.
• This is an in-person position: remote candidates should not apply.
• Certification/License a plus, but not required.
• Experience in tutoring or teaching is welcome.
• Ability to work with middle and high school students.

Responsibilities

• Tutor reading and writing skills in 1-to-1 sessions.

Reading And Writing Tutors

• Huntington Learning Center is hiring in-person, part-time tutors who have expertise and experience tutoring reading comprehension, writing skills, as well as potential other Humanities and Social Sciences topics. We are also looking for SAT and ACT-level reading and grammar tutors.

Requirements Include

• 4-YEAR DEGREE IS REQUIRED: A bachelor's degree is the minimum degree-level requirement. Candidates without a degree should not apply.
• This is an IN-PERSON position: A candidate must be able to work in person. Candidates in remote locations should not apply.
• Certification/License a plus, but not required.
• Experience levels can vary - current and retired teachers are encouraged. Professionals with expertise in other subject areas are welcome to apply.
• Must be a caring and qualified professional committed to the success of students.
