Job summary

Vmoves Fleet Solutions seeks an Inspector Driver to collect and deliver vehicles across the UK on a self‑employed basis. You’ll be your own boss, set your schedule, and enjoy weekly payments through our self‑billing system.

Qualifications

• Full driving licence with max 6 penalty points and no DR/CD/DD/TT99 endorsements.
• Right to work in the UK and able to pass a DBS check.
• Overnight flexibility.
• Professional conduct and commitment to customer service.
• Comfortable using public transport between jobs and walking 1–3 miles as needed.
• Vehicle inspection experience is advantageous, training provided.

Responsibilities

• Inspect vehicles and document condition using our inspection app.
• Collect and deliver vehicles across the UK, from major cities to rural areas.
• Record details in the app and follow planned routes.
• Stay overnight near collection locations as needed (1–4 nights per week).
• Work within DVLA trade‑plate rules and maintain safety and compliance.
• Provide excellent customer service and timely communications.

Car & Van Trade Plate Driver / Vehicle Collection & Delivery (Self-Employed)

We require Inspector Drivers to appraise and deliver a variety of vehicles across the UK. Our experienced planning team will plan and offer you assignments, based on your previous delivery location, availability and licence type and we publish target moves and route plans before you accept, so you know how your day pays.

We operate within DVLA trade‑plate rules (roadworthy & valid MOT) and set clear customer‑service expectations. Safety and compliance first and require individuals with a can-do professional attitude, patience, an eye for detail and a true understanding of what customer service is.

Requirements?

Every day is different at Vmoves - new vehicles, new routes, and new people to meet. But here’s a glimpse into what a week in the life of a trade plate inspector driver might look like:

Monday:

• - Starting your week, you will make independent travel arrangements to your first collection.
• - You will Inspect the vehicle. Recording the vehicle condition and images on our inspection app.
• - Once you’ve delivered that vehicle, you’ll head to your next assignment and/or depending what time it is, stay overnight near the next day’s vehicle collection location. This could be at home or a hotel.

Tuesday to Friday: Inspect - Collect – Deliver – Earn - Repeat

• - Collect, inspect and deliver your vehicles across the UK, from major cities to the rural countryside
• - Record details using our app, simple and fast
• - Stay overnight or go via home – The movement offered will advise you of the plan, and dependant on where you live and your availability, you may be out overnight up to 3-4 nights per week
