Job summary

You will operate reach trucks, monitor safety protocols, scan barcodes, and maintain accurate inventory records within our warehouse environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience operating reach trucks or similar heavy equipment in a warehouse.
• Familiarity with barcode scanning and warehouse management systems.
• Knowledge of safety standards related to forklift operation and OSHA guidelines.
• Experience in shipping/receiving and order picking processes.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic for inventory counts.

Responsibilities

• Operate reach trucks and other material handling equipment safely to load, unload, and transport goods.
• Perform order picking using barcode scanning to fulfill customer orders.
• Load and unload shipments following OSHA safety standards.
• Maintain inventory levels with regular stock counts and accurate WMS updates.
• Assist with shipping/receiving and verify contents against documentation.
• Conduct routine equipment maintenance and minor repairs for safe operation.

• Apply proper manual handling techniques for heavy lifting tasks.
• Record materials handled, including scans, shipments, and movements.

Duties

• Operate reach trucks, cherry pickers, clamp trucks, forklifts, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently to load, unload, and transport goods within the warehouse.
• Perform order picking using barcode scanning systems to ensure accurate fulfillment of customer orders.
• Load and unload shipments while adhering to OSHA safety standards and warehouse safety protocols.
• Manage inventory levels through regular stock counts, updating the warehouse management system (WMS) accurately.
• Assist with shipping and receiving activities by verifying shipment contents against documentation and ensuring proper storage.
• Conduct routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment to ensure optimal operation and safety compliance.
• Support warehouse distribution activities by organizing materials for efficient storage and retrieval.
• Utilize manual handling techniques for heavy lifting tasks while following proper ergonomic practices.
• Maintain accurate records of materials handled, including barcode scans, shipment details, and inventory movements.
• Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and improve overall warehouse efficiency.

Experience

• Proven experience operating reach trucks or similar heavy equipment such as forklifts, Hi-Lo’s, or pallet jacks within a warehouse environment.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), barcode scanning technology, and inventory control procedures.
• Knowledge of safety standards related to forklift operation, OSHA regulations, and warehouse safety protocols.
• Experience in shipping & receiving processes, order picking, load & unload operations, and materials handling.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations for inventory counts and measurements.
• Prior experience in warehouse supervision or team coordination is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Strong understanding of manual handling techniques for heavy lifting tasks.
• Demonstrated ability to perform equipment repairs or basic troubleshooting is a plus.
