Job summary

Broadcom Inc. in San Jose is seeking a Software Engineer to design and develop RDMA protocol features for our Ethernet NIC portfolio, with a strong emphasis on QoS, congestion control, and performance tuning for AI/ML and HPC workloads.

You will work cross functionally with marketing, architects, silicon design and QA teams to architect, implement and validate high quality software, drivers and firmware, and contribute to documentation, testing, and customer issue resolution.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in CS/EC or equivalent with 12+ years experience.
Significant RDMA, QoS, Linux kernel networking and data center networking experience.
Strong programming in C, C++, Python; proficiency with x86 and ARM64 toolchains.

Responsibilities

Design and development of RDMA features for Ethernet NIC products, focusing on QoS and congestion control.
Collaborate with architecture, silicon design and other software/firmware teams to deliver high-performance applications.
Author and contribute to software design, development, validation, and documentation.
Work with QA to define test plans and support the release development cycle.
Assist customer support with field issues and provide timely resolutions.
