Job summary

Adventist Health Sonora is seeking a Dental Assistant to provide oral hygiene and preventive services under a dentist's direction. You will evaluate patient needs, prepare materials, and assist with restorations.

Requirements include high school/GED, preferred associate degree, CPR/BLS; RDAEF licensure, Radiation Safety, Coronal Polish, Sealant licenses; two years’ experience preferred. This is a full-time day shift position in Sonora, CA.

Qualifications

• High School Education/GED required.
• Associate's/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience preferred.
• Two years' dental assistant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conducts preliminary evaluation of the patient's oral health, including charting and evaluations.
• Sizes and fits endodontic master points and accessory points; cements them as needed.
• Takes final impressions for tooth-borne removable and permanent restorations; finishes and adjusts restorations.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
