Northlake Dentistry in Lantana, TX is seeking a part-time Registered Dental Assistant to support a patient-centered dental team. You will prepare rooms, assist chairside, and educate patients while maintaining records and ensuring safety.

The position emphasizes teamwork, high-quality care, and adherence to OSHA, HIPAA, and infection-control standards. The schedule includes most weekdays with some days off.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Completion of an accredited dental assisting program or on-the-job training.
• Active RDA license as required by state law.
• Current CPR/BLS certification is required.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare treatment rooms and patients for dental procedures.
• Assist the dentist chairside using four-handed dentistry techniques.
• Sterilize and disinfect instruments, equipment, and operatories.
• Take dental radiographs and impressions as directed by the dentist.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and postoperative care instructions.
• Maintain accurate patient records in the practice management system.
• Monitor inventory and inform lead or office manager of supply needs.
• Follow OSHA, CDC, and HIPAA protocols to ensure safety.

What You’ll Do

As a key member of our team, you will help support smooth, efficient, and comfortable patient care by:

Prepare treatment rooms and patients for dental procedures

Assist the dentist chairside using four-handed dentistry techniques

Sterilize and disinfect instruments, equipment, and operatories

Take dental radiographs and impressions as directed by the dentist

Educate patients on oral hygiene and postoperative care instructions

Maintain accurate patient records and update charts in the practice management system

Monitor inventory and inform Clinical Lead or Office Manager of supply needs

Follow OSHA, CDC, and HIPAA protocols to ensure patient and team safety

Work Environment & Physical Requirements Involving : Ability to stand, sit, and assist with procedures for extended periods, Manual dexterity to operate dental instruments and equipment, May be exposed to bloodborne pathogens, chemicals, and infectious materials, Use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) required

Other duties as it relates to the position

Qualifications

Required:

High school diploma or equivalent

Completion of an accredited dental assisting program or on-the-job training

Active dental assistant certification/license as required by state law

Active RDA required by state law

Current CPR/BLS certification

Excellent communication and patient care skills

Preferred:

1+ years of experience in a dental assisting role

Proficiency in dental software systems (Denticon)
