Job summary

Indiana University Health is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to resolve timely and accurate AR for IU Health entities. You will support provider enrollment, master/fee schedule maintenance, and claims submission while performing third-party follow up.

This role requires strong interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to work in a team, meet objectives, and provide excellent service to patients and providers within a large health system.

Qualifications

• Experience with hospital or physician billing preferred.
• Knowledge of payer billing requirements and regulations.
• Strong interpersonal, problem solving, and analytic skills.

• Ability to work effectively in a team and build collaborative relationships.
• Ability to take initiative and meet objectives.

Responsibilities

• Resolve timely and accurate accounts receivable for IU Health entities supported by Revenue Cycle System Services.
• Assist with provider enrollment and charge description master/fee schedule maintenance.
• Submit claims and perform third-party follow up; cash posting and denial management.
• Conduct denial appeals and recovery activities; address underpayments and audit defenses.
• Support patient collections as needed and ensure compliance with regulations.
