Job summary

Soar Autism Center is seeking a Behavior Technician to deliver one-on-one ABA therapy for children aged 2-6 in our Denver clinic. You will implement plans designed by our Masters-level clinicians and maintain close communication with families about progress within the ABA framework.

The role includes ongoing training to stay current with ABA therapy, RBT certification processes, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; verified for RBT certification.
• Enrollment in or completion of a related degree preferred (Child Development, Psychology).
• Ability to achieve and maintain RBT certification; paid training provided by Soar.
• Experience with children and a passion for working with kids.

Job description

At Soar Autism Center, we are dedicated to enhancing the lives of children on the autism spectrum. As we strive to innovate and build a better model of care for kids, the role of the RBT (Registered Behavior Technician) becomes paramount. Through our specialized approach, we empower these children, guiding them towards their full potential. Our methods draw from the principles of the Early Start Denver Model (ESDM), a play-based form of Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) therapy. By joining our team as an RBT, you'll contribute significantly to our mission-driven care model.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one ABA therapy to children aged 2-6 in our clinic, adhering to the profession's high standards
• Implement intervention plans crafted by our expert Masters-level clinicians, ensuring alignment with Applied Behavioral Analysis therapy principles
• Foster relationships with families, consistently updating them on their child's progress within the ABA framework
• Engage in ongoing training and development, keeping up-to-date with advancements in ABA therapy and RBT certification

Qualifications

• High school diploma, or equivalent, is required (as verified by resume, application, or BACB attestation for RBT certification)
• Strong preference for either enrollment in or completion of a degree program. Bonus for degrees in Child Development, Psychology, or related fields
• Ability to achieve and maintain RBT certification (Soar will provide paid training)
• Previous experience with children and enjoyment working with children
• Ability to work on a team
• Must have reliable transportation to both training location and local center. Punctuality is essential
• Must be able to meet the following physical requirements: sit and stand frequently, shift positions quickly, lift up to 50 lbs., sit/kneel on the floor for extended periods of time, sit in a chair, stand, walk, and occasionally run short distances to catch up with a client

• $21.50 - $28.50/hour with regular bonus and promotion opportunities. The initial offer hourly pay will be between $21.50 - $22.75. All staff members are considered every 3 months for a raise or promotion
