Job summary

Canadian Solar's CS Power Systems seeks a Raw Material Laboratory Engineer to advance material research, testing, and DOE-driven characterization of polymers, metals, coatings, and other manufacturing materials in a on-site Mesquite, TX lab.

You will design and run experiments, analyze data, and develop standardized test methods, ensuring quality and reliability while collaborating with Engineering, Quality, and Supplier Quality teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science or related field and hands-on testing knowledge.
• Strong DOE, statistics, and data interpretation skills.
• Ability to manage lab testing with minimal supervision and collaborate cross-functionally.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute DOE to evaluate material performance and aging.
• Perform material testing/characterization on polymers, metals, coatings, glass, etc.
• Analyze data, identify trends, and present actionable conclusions.
• Develop and validate test methods; improve lab processes and reliability.
• Ensure ISO/IEC quality system alignment; document findings thoroughly.
