Summer Classics, Inc. is seeking a dependable Raw Material Handler I in Pelham, AL to ensure raw materials move safely and efficiently through the production area. You will unload inbound material and deliver it to the correct locations under supervision, while maintaining a clean, organized workspace.

Job Description

We're seeking a dependable Raw Material Handler I to keep raw material moving safely and efficiently through our Production area. Working under the direct supervision of the Raw Materials Handler Team Leader, this role supports our production teams by unloading inbound raw material, delivering it to the correct locations on the floor, and keeping the work area clear of scrap.

The ideal candidate is a reliable, safety-minded team player who takes pride in accuracy and consistency, and is energized by contributing to the craftsmanship behind every piece of furniture we build.

What You Do

• Assists in unloading inbound raw material.
• Moves material to specified locations, as directed by the Raw Materials Handler Team Leader.
• Removes scrap from the Production floor.
• Assists with additional housekeeping duties for the department, including dusting and mopping, as needed to ensure safety.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Raw Materials Handler Team Leader.

Expected Hours of Work

• Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:45 p.m., with expected overtime during peak periods from February through September.

• Production floor kept clear of scrap and housekeeping standards maintained
• Consistent attendance and adherence to safety procedures
