Job summary

Amgen is seeking a Specialty Account Manager for Rare Disease in western Massachusetts. You will represent Amgen products to physicians and healthcare professionals, delivering disease and product education and managing the full territory through a consultative selling approach.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet sales goals, build key relationships with local and national KOLs, and maintain in-depth disease knowledge while ensuring compliance and thorough documentation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree with 3 years pharma/biotech or hospital sales experience.
  • Associate degree with 6 years sales experience in pharma/biotech or hospital sales.
  • High school diploma with 8 years sales experience in pharma/biotech or hospital sales.
  • Doctorate with 2 years of account management experience, sales, & commercial experience.
  • Masters with 6 years of account management experience, sales, & commercial experience.
  • Bachelor's with 8 years of account management experience, sales, & commercial experience.
  • Associate with 10 years of account management experience, sales, & commercial experience.

Responsibilities

  • Represent Amgen products to physicians and healthcare professionals and manage the territory.
  • Achieve sales objectives by promoting disease and product education to HCPs.
  • Execute strategic account business plans to meet marketing goals.
  • Collaborate with Case Managers, Medical Affairs, Patient access, and others.
  • Utilize resources and cross-functional partners to address knowledge gaps.
  • Develop relationships with local, regional, and national KOLs.
  • Maintain in-depth disease and therapeutic knowledge.
  • Apply consultative, solution-oriented selling for Rare Disease patients.
  • Ensure compliance and proper documentation and reporting.

Education

Bachelor's Degree + 3 years of pharma/biotech or hospital sales experience
Associate degree + 6 years of pharma/biotech or hospital sales experience
High school diploma/GED + 8 years of pharma/biotech or hospital sales experience
Doctorate degree + 2 years of account management experience
Masters degree + 6 years of account management experience
