Job summary

UF Health in Jacksonville is seeking a Rapid Response RN to provide bedside nursing care across multiple campuses including North Campus, Pavilion and Specialty areas. The role includes floating to ACC building, Faculty Clinic, inpatient and outpatient areas and performing as a mentor in leadership initiatives.

Requirements include an Associate’s degree with BSN within 3 years, Florida RN license, BLS/ACLS/PALS and NRP within defined timeframes. Prior critical care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice nursing in the State of Florida.
• Must obtain ACLS, PALS, and NRP within specified onboarding periods.
• Experience in Critical Care/ICU/ED settings.

Responsibilities

• Mentor in the 'Walking in the Shoes of a Nurse Leader' program when assigned.

• Lead debriefings and provide bedside education.

Job description

Overview

The RAPID RESPONSE RN provides nursing care to patients utilizing the nursing process and standards of practice for a professional nurse. The Rapid Response RN will be required to float to North Campus, the Pavilion and Specialty areas. The RRT RN team may respond to ACC building, Faculty Clinic, both inpatient and outpatient departments in Pavilion, North and Clinical Center including front and back sidewalks of hospital buildings and employee garage. The Rapid Response RN must comply with all license, certification, and training requirements. The Rapid Response RN is expected to perform as mentor in 'Walking in the Shoes of a Nurse Leader' when assigned. The Rapid Response RN is expected to proactively round on assigned patients, respond to activations and codes, lead debriefings and provide bedside education.
Qualifications

Required Education:Associate�s degreeSpecific course work: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. New hires effective June 14, 2017, must have a BSN degree from an accredited school of nursing within three (3) years of hire or transfer into the position. New hires or transfers into in the position between August 1, 2013 and June 13, 2017 must abide with the conditions in his or her offer letter and the verbiage in the job description signed upon hire or transfer into the position.
