Qualifications

• CAPE specialty certification and ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities

• Lead interprofessional care planning and execution of the nursing process.
• Deliver evidence-based nursing care to patients and families.
• Define outcomes aligning clinical effectiveness and costs with the team.
• Communicate across patients, families, and care teams to support care.
• Provide leadership to foster safe, quality care and collaboration.
• Guide strategies to improve care delivery and care environments.
• Collaborate to modify care delivery for better patient experiences.
• Assist with developing new processes within the organization.
• Support system-wide quality improvements with the health team.
• Use data for system-level decision making and policy input.
• Participate in recruitment, retention, and cultural competency efforts.
• Mentor staff and participate in governance and QA initiatives.
