Job summary

Memorial Hospital Belleville and Memorial Hospital Shiloh are seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care in a 24/7 environment. The role involves assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care within nursing standards.

Minimum requirements include a Nursing Diploma or ADN and RN licensure. Advanced education such as a BSN is preferred. Evening/night shifts are available with opportunities for professional development and teamwork across departments.

Responsibilities

• Promotes patient and family‑centered care in a healing environment, educating patients and families on home‑care and medication management.
• Participates in activities that promote patient safety, quality and regulatory compliance, including professional development.
• Develops, implements, and documents individual plans of care with defined goals in collaboration with the interprofessional team and the patient/family or caregiver, ensuring clear communication across the continuum of care.
• Uses critical nursing skills to assess and evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs according to standards of care; evaluates patient preferences and barriers to involvement in care.
• Works in a constant state of alertness in a safety‑sensitive environment.

Overview

Memorial Hospital Belleville is an acute care hospital offering medical and surgical services plus critical and emergency care, including children’s services. The facility provides patients a full complement of diagnostic and treatment services as well as heart and vascular care. It is a Chest Pain Center, an Acute Stroke ready hospital, and a designated Lung Cancer Screening Center. Since 2008 it has been a Magnet organization for nursing excellence.

Memorial Hospital Shiloh is a 94‑bed, all‑private‑suite hospital that also holds Magnet status (2018). It provides emergency care, labor & delivery, nursery, medical and surgical services, and critical care.

Additional Preferred Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Critical Care or Emergency Department experience
• ACLS certification
• Nights, 7:15 PM – 6:45 AM

Role Purpose
