Job summary

Express Oil Change & Tire Engineers in Pelham, AL is seeking a Pit Technician to inspect and lubricate cars quickly and thoroughly, with customers remaining in their vehicles.

You will perform multi-point inspections, advise on additional work, and maintain a safe, organized work area while upholding the company’s mission and core values. This role requires good communication, a valid driver’s license, and willingness to work Saturdays and Sundays.

Qualifications

• Knowledge in automotive repair and maintenance is desirable but not required.
• Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and information.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and background screen.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Customer-focused attitude with ability to work well in a team environment.
• Willingness to work Saturdays and/or Sundays.

Responsibilities

• Complete work accurately and quickly while customers remain in their vehicles.
• Perform multi-point inspection.
• Advise service consultant/tech for any additional work needed.
• Service grease fittings, joints, and steering knuckles.
• Inspect fluid levels of rear differential and rear axle housings.
• Inspect vehicles for additional repairs.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
