Job summary

Tharos Training Center in Upper Marlboro, MD, is hiring a Full-Time Range Operator to support its PSO training programs at a 40,000-square-foot facility. You will monitor the daily range schedule, ensure ranges are entered hot and cold, and communicate status with the Range Master.

Requirements include U.S. citizenship, 21+ years old, MS Office proficiency, strong communication and organizational skills, and willingness to work up to 40 hours weekly with travel under 10%. Pay is $19 per hour.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship required; candidates must be at least 21.
• Experience as Range Safety Officer or related military/law enforcement training required.
• Proficiency with MS Office required.
• Excellent oral and written communication.
• Strong organizational skills and time management.
• Able to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor daily range schedule and ensure ranges are marked hot/cold.
• Communicate range status with Range Master via radios.
• Assist with Daily Range Control Brief preparation.
• Conduct range check-in/out per SOP.
• Coordinate daily range usage and timely briefs.
• Report deficiencies to Range Master and schedule conflicts.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
