Job summary

H2ajobs is seeking a livestock range worker to perform a broad set of duties on the ranch and range. You will administer medications, assist with foraging, and help with loading and unloading livestock according to schedules.

The role requires night checks for pregnant livestock and newborns, plus routine health assessments. Housing is employer-provided, meals are supplied, and transportation support is offered after 50% of the contract period.

Qualifications

• Experience in livestock production or range work preferred.
• Ability to perform tasks with minimal supervision.
• Ability to ride, handle and tend horses.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Attend to livestock on the range and ranch.
• Administer medications and apply treatments as needed.
• Irrigate forage and assist with feeding, water, and shelter.
• Move and sort livestock, load/unload per shipping schedules.
• Monitor health and pregnancy, assist with birthing when needed.
• Maintain fences and facilities; manage remote housing locations.
• Record offspring births; monitor nutrition and health.
• Guard against predators and poisonous plants.
