  • Reliable, punctual, and able to maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the driving range, chipping area, and bunker practice area in a clean, safe, and orderly condition.
  • Pick up range balls, fill dispensers, and ensure adequate supply of equipment and practice aids.
  • Inspect and maintain practice areas, including mats, tees, bunkers, and target areas.
  • Assist members with equipment, ball distribution, and answering questions about the range or practice areas.
  • Monitor member use of the range and practice areas to ensure safety and proper etiquette.
  • Coordinate with the Golf Operations team to report maintenance needs, equipment issues, or supply shortages.
  • Set up and take down practice area equipment and signage as needed.
  • Provide friendly, professional service, creating a positive experience for members and guests.
  • Assist with other Golf Operations duties as assigned, including supporting events and clinics.
  • Provides friendly, professional, and attentive service to members and guests.
  • Demonstrates attention to detail in maintaining practice areas and equipment.
  • Works cooperatively as part of the Golf Operations team to support smooth daily operations.
  • Communicates clearly and effectively with members, guests, and team members.
  • Maintains composure and professionalism in all interactions.
  • Follows safety procedures and club policies consistently.

Job Summary

The Range Attendant is responsible for the daily operation, maintenance, and presentation of the club's driving range, as well as the chipping and bunker practice areas. This position ensures a safe, clean, and well-maintained environment for members and guests to practice their golf skills. The Range Attendant interacts with members in a friendly and professional manner, assists with equipment and range ball distribution, and supports the Golf Operations team in delivering a high-quality member experience.

Supervisory Responsibilities
  • No supervisory duties are included in this position.
  • Outdoor golf practice areas, including the driving range, chipping area, and bunker practice area.
  • Frequent interaction with members, guests, and Golf Operations staff.
  • Exposure to varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and sun.
  • Requires flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on club operations and events.
  • Fast-paced environment during peak practice and event times.
  • Professional appearance, courteous behavior, and adherence to safety protocols are required at all times.
Physical Demands
  • Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the driving range, chipping, and bunker practice areas for extended periods.
  • Frequent bending, reaching, and lifting of golf equipment, range balls, and supplies (up to 25-30 lbs).
  • Ability to operate maintenance equipment safely, such as ball pickers, carts, or mowers.
  • Requires manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for handling golf equipment and assisting members.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining safety and professionalism.
  • Clear speech, active listening, and visual focus required for communication with members and team members.
Education and Experience (Required and Preferred)
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
