Job summary

Foster Farms, based in California, seeks a Ranch Worker to support the Ranch Manager in daily farm operations. You will assist with grow-out poultry programs, manage facilities, and ensure sanitation and animal welfare guidelines are followed.

The role requires physical work, lifting up to 50 pounds, and flexibility for overtime, evenings, and weekends. Training in chicken grow-out is preferred to join this team.

Qualifications

• Must have completed the Chicken Grow Out Training Program.

Responsibilities

• Oversee ranch activities and assist Ranch Manager in operations.
• Assist in growing out program setup: ranch, brooding, temperatures, ventilation, mortality, vaccinations, medications.
• Maintain ranch facilities and equipment; coordinate with maintenance; uphold sanitation and disease prevention.
• Manage and control ranch production costs including labor, fuel, supplies, utilities, medications, and maintenance.
• Maintain accurate records for feed, mortality, fuel, production, and energy consumption.
• Provide training and delegate duties to ranch personnel.
• Adhere to safety, animal welfare and disease prevention guidelines.
• Maintain high safety awareness and report issues to Field Supervisor.
