Job summary

Foster Farms in Maryland is seeking a hands-on team member to help maintain day-to-day ranch and fryer operations, including feeding, sanitation, and equipment adjustments. You will assist with the grow-out program to ensure proper conditions such as temperature, ventilation, vaccination, and medication quality for high productivity.

The role requires basic English communication, the ability to lift up to 25 pounds, and flexibility for overtime, evenings, holidays, and weekends.

Qualifications

• Must be self-motivated with ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Good math and organizational skills.
• Able to lift up to 25 pounds.
• Mechanical aptitude preferred.
• Basic English verbal and written communication.
• Willing to learn supervisory/leadership skills.
• Able to work overtime, evenings, holidays and weekends.
• Ability to follow company standards, guidelines and policies.
• Willing to work at other ranches/complexes as needed.

Responsibilities

• Maintain day-to-day ranch and fryer operations, including feeding, mortality removal, equipment adjustments, sanitation, etc.
• Assist with the grow-out program to meet high quality and productivity in key areas (temperature, ventilation, mortality, vaccination, and medication).
• Coordinate feed deliveries, maintain feed and fuel inventories, and ensure proper growing methods; keep facilities and equipment in good condition.
• Learn about and assist with sanitation, bio-security, and report problems to the Ranch Manager or Field Supervisor.
