Job summary

Foster Farms in California is seeking a hands-on ranch worker to support day-to-day operations and grow-out activities. The role includes feeding, sanitation, equipment adjustments, and routine maintenance to ensure high-quality production.

The position requires basic English, physical stamina to lift 25 pounds, and flexibility to cover evenings, weekends, and holidays. Training in supervisory responsibilities may be provided where needed.

Qualifications

• Must be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Must have good mathematical and organizational skills.
• Must be able to lift and move 25 pounds.
• Preferably, will have a mechanical aptitude.
• Must have good verbal and written communication skills (Basic English).
• Must possess or be able to learn supervisory and leadership skills.
• Must be able to work as scheduled/needed to include overtime, evenings, holidays and weekends.
• Must follow company standards, guidelines and policies.
• Must have the ability to work at other ranches/complexes as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist in day-to-day ranch operations and fryers, including feeding and sanitation.
• Assist grow-out program to meet quality and productivity standards.
• Coordinate feed deliveries and maintain feed and fuel inventories.
• Maintain facilities and equipment for optimal usage and appearance.
• Learn and assist with sanitation, disease protection procedures, and safety.
