Job summary

Unifi in Wisconsin is seeking a ramp team lead to marshal aircraft, load/unload baggage, and supervise ramp agents to ensure safe and efficient operations.

You will oversee ramp activities, maintain equipment readiness, and support on-time flight movements in a dynamic airport environment.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma, GED or equivalent.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must be able to obtain credentials required as per airport or state or customs requirements.
  • One year of relevant work experience in aviation or ground handling (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Marshal the aircraft on the ramp for arriving, departing and towed aircraft.
  • Supervise a team of ramp service agents.
  • Operate ramp equipment like bag tugs, belt loaders, aircraft tow tractors and servicing vehicles.
  • Load, unload, sort and transfer passenger baggage, airmail, freight and company material.
  • Perform wing walker duties to protect the aircraft wing during pushback and de-ice aircraft as needed.

Education

Job Summary

Responsible for leading a ramp team and marshalling aircraft in and out of gate, loading, unloading and sorting baggage.

Job Duties
  • Marshal the aircraft on the ramp all arriving, departing and towed aircraft.
  • Supervises a team of agents in ramp service duties.

Preferred Qualifications
  • One year of relevant work experience in the aviation or ground handling services industry.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to constantly lift up to 70lbs and more, push, pull, walk, stand, reach above shoulder, stoop, squat, kneel, bend, reach out, and grasp; and frequently climb, and crawl.
Working Conditions
  • Must be able to work in rotating shifts and hours, nights, weekends and holidays, overtime.
  • Must be able and open to work in outside weather conditions which may include severe seasonal elements.

  • Complete work in a safe and secure manner, following company safety and operational standards.
