Job summary

Menzies Aviation seeks an Account Manager at Eagle Valley Regional Airport to strengthen the cargo service function for our airline partners. Manage relationships, drive safe, high-volume operations, and oversee performance against contracts and budgets.

You will lead a team, coordinate with airport stakeholders, and report measurements while upholding health, safety and security standards in a dynamic aviation environment.

  • Aptitude to develop the supervisory team and re-engineer business processes.

Responsibilities

  • Implement Menzies Aviation Policies and Procedures as laid down in the Eight Pillars of Management.
  • Ensure service delivery to customer airlines is according to the contracts and within budget.
  • Ensure safety and security procedures per Health & Safety regulations and international standards.
  • Monitor performance and take corrective action as needed.
  • Liaise with airline station managers, airport operations staff, handling agents, customs, immigration and security officials.
  • Provide reports and service delivery measurements.
  • Provide leadership to the management team and develop their skills.
  • Interview, train, plan, assign, direct work; appraise performance; recognize employees and ensure training completion.
  • Work shifts as required by the business.
  • Identify deficiencies in products, materials and documents and report them.
  • Suggest improvements to working practices, especially safety and security.
  • Follow all security procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Role Purpose

The Account Manager will be responsible for assisting the operational team to deliver excellent and safer performance in the cargo service functions at a high-volume international airport.to include managing the Company's relationship with assigned airline customer, acting as the liaison between the two. This Job is located in Eagle CO, at the Eagle Valley Regional Airport
Salary: $72,000 - $72,000
Reporting to: General Manager
Primary Accountabilities and Duties
  • Implement Menzies Aviation Policies and Procedures as laid down in the Eight Pillars of Management
  • Ensures service delivery to customer airlines is according to the airline contracts, and within the agreed budget level
  • Ensures safety and security procedures are performed according to the Menzies Health & Safety regulations, and according to international aviation standards
  • Monitors performance, taking action to correct any shortfalls
  • Liaise with airline station managers, airport operations staff, handling agents, customs, immigration, and security officials, and other airport stakeholders
  • Provides reports as required, and service delivery measurements
  • Provides leadership to the management team, developing their skills
  • Responsibilities include interviewing; training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; employee recognition, addressing issues and ensuring employees successfully complete company's training programs.
  • Work shifts as required by the business
  • To report any significant deficiency in our products, materials and documents
  • Has the duty to suggest any improvements to working practices, especially those relating to safety and security
  • Must follow all security procedures as required
  • Other duties as assigned
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Manages employees in the Ground Handling department.
  • Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this unit.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
Candidate requirements
  • Financial management skills awareness.
  • Able to communicate effectively with senior level personnel.
  • Able to work with a multinational work force, and to adjust to the local conditions of the station.
  • A working knowledge of the IATA Standard Ground Handling Agreement.
  • Aptitude to develop the supervisory team, provide succession planning, and re-engineer business processes as demanded by changes in the business.
  • Able to support other stations as required and ensure own station responsibilities are covered with on leave.
  • Airport Ground Handling experience at a high-volume international airport.
  • Excellent knowledge of ramp/cargo/ GSE.
  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrates customer relationship skills, including ability to effectively communicate with all levels of employees from field to corporate executives.
  • Strong Finance and Accounting Experience and Background
  • Should possess solid problem solving, multi-tasking abilities and experience in the handling of flight operations.
  • Computer and experience with Microsoft Office programs required.
  • High School Graduate plus, two to five years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information to and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Possess/Maintain a valid state Driver's License and other FAA/Airport required identifications and seals.
  • Must pass pre-employment physical and a drug test.
