Job summary

Unifi Aviation, LLC in Augusta, GA is seeking a Ramp Lead to supervise a ramp team, marshal aircraft, load and unload baggage, de-ice as needed, and operate ramp equipment. You will ensure safety and efficiency on the tarmac in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires availability for rotating shifts including nights and weekends, with full-time hours starting at 30 per week and competitive benefits including flight privileges after 30 days for you and eligible family members.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent education.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be able to obtain credentials required as per airport, state or customs requirements.
• Possess a valid Driver's License.
• Preferred: one year of relevant work experience in aviation or ground handling.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of agents in ramp service duties.
• Marshal the aircraft on the ramp for Arriving, departing and towed aircraft.
• Perform wing walker duties to protect the aircraft wing from equipment in the path of pushback and de-ice aircraft as required.
• Load, unload, sort and transfer passenger baggage, airmail, freight and company material in and out of aircraft bins, belt loaders or baggage carts.
• Operate ramp equipment like bag tugs, belt loaders, aircraft tow tractors, water servicing vehicles, and lavatory servicing vehicles.
• May be assigned cabin service duties like servicing the aircraft, cleaning lavatories and cabin, restocking supplies, and other items.
• Promotes and adheres to policies concerning Safety, Anti-Harassment and Equal Employment Opportunity.
• Perform other related duties as assigned within the appropriate skill, experience and capabilities expected for this position.
• Complete work in a safe and secure manner, following company safety and operational standards.
• Immediately report safety and security incidents as well as potential hazards in line with the Unifi Fair and Just Culture Policy.
