Job summary

Avflight Harrisburg - Middletown, PA is seeking a Line Services Technician to provide fueling, de-icing, hangar services and ground support for customer flights. The role covers fuel truck operations, aircraft cleaning, luggage handling and related services in a busy airport environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 2 years related experience; aviation experience a plus.
• Must pass background check and pre-employment drug test.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and work varied hours.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather and elevated noise levels.

Responsibilities

• Performs fueling and de-icing of all types of aircraft in accordance to specific standards.
• Directs movement of aircraft and vehicular traffic on the ramp and in shops/hangars; secures aircraft, cleans windshields, and handles lavatory service.
• Drives and services fuel trucks and ground support vehicles; operates and maintains fueling equipment.
• Uses safety equipment and provides de-icing service as needed.
• Performs grounds keeping and janitorial duties; assists with snow removal.
• Maintains cleanliness and maintenance of areas around the facilities.
• Assists aircraft crews and passengers with services.
• Performs fuel farm inspections and quality control checks.
• Performs daily and monthly fuel truck safety inspections.
