Job summary

Inland Deicing Services, LLC in Tampa, FL is seeking a part-time Ramp Agent to join our aviation services team. You will load/unload freight, handle cargo pallets, and assist in ground support to keep aircraft and passengers moving safely and on time.

You must read and write English, have a high school diploma or equivalent, and pass the SIDA/background checks. A valid driver’s license is preferred; shift is Monday–Friday evenings with some weekend work.

• SIDA airport badge or background check is required for this location.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight and cargo pallets safely.

Including build up and break down of cargo pallets and freight containers following guidelines;• Holds equipment certifications and operates equipment safely;• Obtains proper security documents for all shipments;• Verifies upon receipt from customer shipment pieces, weight, dimensions and airworthiness;• Verifies upon delivery to customer shipment pieces and airway bill numbers;Required Skills and Experience:• High school diploma or equivalent preferred;• Maintain and treat all information as confidential;• Possess the tact to deal with all levels of employees and client representatives;• Must be able to read, write, understand and carry out instructions in English;• Must be able to verbally direct in English;•Successful completion of the SIDA airport badging or background check process required for this location;• A valid driver’s license is preferred for this position.Work Environment:• Warehouse - physically strenuous, prolonged periods of time standing with exposure to noise (may be excessive at times), safe but potentially unpleasant odors, varying temperatures and humidity, in and around heavy moving equipment;• Outdoor - prolonged periods of time standing with exposure to prevalent weather, dust, dirt, fuel, fumes and noise, in or around heavy equipment and moving vehicles.Physical Demands:• Must be able to use hands to handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms;• Must be able to speak and hear efficiently;• Able to lift, push, pull up to 75 pounds at times;• Ability to climb ladders of up to 15 feet in height;• Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, pushing and pulling.The Inland Group of Companies offers a variety of opportunities to work in the field of aviation.
