Piedmont Airlines, Inc. is hiring a Ramp Agent to join our Ground Handling Department in Kansas City, MO. The role focuses on baggage handling, aircraft servicing on the ramp, and operating service vehicles in a dynamic outdoor environment.

Training will be provided, and you will report to the General Manager. The position requires high energy, strong communication, and the ability to work as part of a team to meet company objectives.

Qualifications

• Must have valid tolerance for outdoor airport environment
• Effective communication in a fast-paced team setting
• Capable of organizing, prioritizing, and multitasking tasks
• Previous airline front-line experience preferred

To continue our standard of excellence, Piedmont is seeking a motivated, reliable professional to join our team as a Ramp Agent in our Ground Handling Department. The primary responsibility of the position is baggage handling and servicing aircraft in a fast-paced outdoor airport environment. Ramp Agents are expected to keep both the company goals and customer expectations in mind when completing their daily tasks. The successful candidate will successfully complete the Ramp Agent training course. This position will report to the General Manager.

Essential Duties

• Responsible for below-the-wing servicing of the aircraft
• Load and unload baggage and cargo
• Operate motorized service vehicles and equipment
• Guide and park aircraft
• Perform cabin maintenance tasks
• De-ice aircraft
• Work as a team to provide excellent customer service and meet corporate objectives

Job Qualifications and Competencies

• Successful completion of training course
• Ability to meet company goals and customer expectations in a high energy environment
• Effective communication skills
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and multitask

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous airline experience
• Previous employment as a front-line customer service provider
• Basic knowledge of computer applications and programs

Work Environment

• Use of computers, telephones, and other office equipment
• Airport ramp environment, subject to varied weather conditions and elevated noise levels
• All shifts including weekends, nights, holidays and/or irregular shifts

Physical Requirements

• Frequent stooping, bending, kneeling, walking, standing, reaching, lifting, climbing up and down stairs
• Handle objects up to 70 pounds
• Assist passengers with disabilities, including, but not limited to, pushing wheelchairs

Employment is contingent upon a valid driver’s license and clear driving record, 10-year Criminal History Records Check, and drug screen as required.

Starting Rate:$16.00/Hourly
