Job summary

Inland Group of Companies is seeking a Ramp Agent for the PM shift to support cargo handling and aircraft service operations. You will load/unload freight, assist with pallets, and ensure safe, on-time movement of aircraft and cargo.

The role requires reading and speaking English, a high school diploma or equivalent, and compliance with security and background checks. Training is provided with on-the-job support and benefits for eligible staff.

Responsibilities

• Properly and safely loads and unloads freight; builds cargo pallets and freight containers as required.
• Operates equipment safely and holds necessary certifications.
• Obtains and verifies security documents for shipments.
• Verifies shipment pieces, weight, dimensions and airworthiness on receipt.
• Verifies airway bills and shipment details on delivery.

Including build up and break down of cargo pallets and freight containers following guidelines;• Holds equipment certifications and operates equipment safely;• Obtains proper security documents for all shipments;• Verifies upon receipt from customer shipment pieces, weight, dimensions and airworthiness;• Verifies upon delivery to customer shipment pieces and airway bill numbers;Required Skills and Experience:• High school diploma or equivalent preferred;• Maintain and treat all information as confidential;• Possess the tact to deal with all levels of employees and client representatives;• Must be able to read, write, understand and carry out instructions in English;• Must be able to verbally direct in English;•Successful completion of the SIDA airport badging or background check process required for this location;• A Real ID or valid Passport is required for this position.Work Environment:• Warehouse - physically strenuous, prolonged periods of time standing with exposure to noise (may be excessive at times), safe but potentially unpleasant odors, varying temperatures and humidity, in and around heavy moving equipment;• Outdoor - prolonged periods of time standing with exposure to prevalent weather, dust, dirt, fuel, fumes and noise, in or around heavy equipment and moving vehicles.Physical Demands:• Must be able to use hands to handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms;• Must be able to speak and hear efficiently;• Able to lift, push, pull up to 75 pounds at times;• Ability to climb ladders of up to 15 feet in height;• Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, pushing and pulling.The Inland Group of Companies offers a variety of opportunities to work in the field of aviation.
