Job summary

NEXTGEN Ground Handling Services in Austin, TX is seeking a Ramp Agent to join our airport operations team. You will load, unload, and transport luggage and cargo to and from aircraft, requiring attention to detail and physical strength.

This is a physically demanding role with an 18-hour work week at $18.40 per hour. You'll operate ground support equipment, follow safety procedures, and coordinate with pilots and crews to ensure quick aircraft turnaround.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Pass background check and drug screening.
• Experience in a similar role is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload luggage, cargo, and other items onto and off of aircraft.
• Safely operate ground support equipment such as tugs, tractors, belt loaders, and forklifts.
• Follow safety procedures and regulations while working on the ramp.
• Communicate with pilots, flight crews, and ground personnel to ensure efficient aircraft turnaround.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.
• Report any issues or maintenance needs to the appropriate personnel.

Monday jet arrival 3:00AM. Tuesday - Friday jet arrival 6:30AM. Sunday jet arrival 5:00AM

Operation runs 3 hours. $18.40hr. 18 hours a week.

If operation finishes early, you will still be paid for 3hrs.
