Job summary

The Commemorative Air Force (CAF) in Dallas, Texas, seeks an experienced Database Administrator, Development & Membership to lead the administration, integrity, optimization, and strategic use of Raiser's Edge for CAF fundraising and membership programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
• Three to five years of nonprofit database administration, advancement services, membership data management, development operations, fundraising analytics, or related field.
• Demonstrated professional experience with Blackbaud Raiser's Edge, including constituent management, queries, reports, imports, exports, and data administration.
• Current working knowledge of Raiser's Edge NXT and ability to remain informed about evolving functionality.
• Strong understanding of relational databases, constituent records, data standards, and data management.
• Demonstrated experience creating queries, reports, imports, exports, and constituent segments.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret fundraising, membership, and constituent data.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and data analysis.
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
• Strong organizational, project-management, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively across departments and appropriately handle confidential donor, member, and financial information.

Responsibilities

• Serve as CAF's primary administrator and subject matter expert for Raiser's Edge.
• Support the continued transition and adoption of Raiser's Edge NXT, including evaluating new functionality and recommending opportunities for implementation.
• Establish and maintain database standards, coding structures, data-entry procedures, security, and data governance practices.
• Maintain the integrity and accuracy of donor, member, prospect, gift, and other constituent information.
• Partner with Membership to support member data, renewals, retention, acquisition, engagement, segmentation, and reporting.
• Partner with Development to support fundraising data, campaigns, donor segmentation, prospect and portfolio management, and fundraising analysis.
• Develop queries, reports, dashboards, lists, and analysis for Development, Membership, and organizational leadership.
• Manage data imports, exports, integrations, and exchanges with third-party systems.
• Conduct database audits, manage duplicate records, and identify opportunities to improve data quality and processes.
• Support donor and member segmentation to identify opportunities for deeper engagement.
• Develop and maintain database procedures, documentation, data dictionaries, and user resources.
• Provide Raiser's Edge and NXT training and ongoing support to Development and Membership staff.
• Collaborate with Finance and other organizational teams to support accurate reporting and effective use of constituent data.
