Job summary

Progress Rail Services Corp. seeks a Material Handler in Waskom, TX to support multiple facility areas by unloading, stocking, and delivering materials to workstations. You will operate forklifts and pallet jacks, ensuring safe handling and timely transfers.

A GED or vocational training plus 2–5 years of related experience are preferred. The role requires basic PC skills, counting and measuring, plus strong reliability and the ability to work in a high-noise, fast-paced environment around rail

Qualifications

• GED or vocational/technical training is required.
• 2–5 years of experience preferred (Skill Level II).
• Basic PC knowledge for data entry is required.
• Basic math skills and ability to read a tape measure.
• Self-starter with minimal supervision and ability to work in fast-paced environment.
• Forklift, pallet jack, mobile equipment, dollies and/or crane experience.

Responsibilities

• Receive, identify, unload materials/parts and store in inventory.
• Ensure prompt delivery and adequate supply to workstations.
• Transport material and parts to assembly areas and loading docks.
• Operate forklift, pallet jack, mobile equipment and/or cranes.
• Deliver urgent items to the production floor accurately and safely.
• Document processing of incoming and outgoing items.
